This will be Rising Pune Supergiant’s third game after winning the first match against Mumbai Indians and losing out the second to Kings XI Punjab. In the match against Kings XI Punjab, Rising Pune supergiant was surely short of a par total. They managed to get 163 with the help of Ben Stokes 50 and Manoj Tiwary’s 40 runs from 23 balls. Rising Pune Supergiant were in no position to defend the score but they also might be concerned about their bowlers giving away extra runs. Australian bowler Daniel Christian gave away 24 runs in just two overs, RPS certainly need to find the right bowling combination as early as possible.
Delhi Daredevils lost their first game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Delhi bowlers did a really good job in restricting RCB to a total of 157, but their batsmen were not able to chase the target inspite of weak looking RCB’s bowling attack on paper. Only four Delhi Daredevils batsmen were able to score runs in double digits, which would be a serious concern for the team management. Delhi batting is looking weak with the absence of JP Duminy and Quinton de Kock, and they seriously need good replacements for them. Rishabh Pant would be the batsman RCB would have to watch out for. Bowling looks good for DD but a little work for Amit Mishra and Carlos Barthwaite will be nice.
Head to Head: RPS vs DD
RPS and DD have had encountered two times last season, both times RPS had won. If we see on the basis of current performance also, RPS has upper hand on the DD with the likes of Rahane, Smith and Dhoni in the batting lineup.
